Foyers Bay - the next stage of site improvements

Over the summer, we have been progressing with work at Foyers Bay. In May we carried out some site clearance works, including improving boat access to the loch. We were also granted planning permission to build the new slipway. The tendering process is almost complete, and we will share details of our chosen contractor in due course. The current plan is that work will start on construction of the new slipway in late spring/ early summer 2024.

In the meantime, we will be carrying out some work to tidy up the site between 27th November and 1st December; clearing scrub, saplings and weeds from the compound, moving equipment into secure storage and general site improvement. As part of this we will be removing the abandoned boats (pictured) on the shoreline. They will be stored in the compound until next Spring – please claim them if they are yours, otherwise they will be disposed of appropriately.

We would also like to get rid of the hardcore material and black piping on the site - can you make use of them? If you would like some, free of charge, please contact Caroline by emailing pc@sfctrust.org.uk to arrange collection.
