Why be a Trust Director?

  • It’s a fantastic way to be involved in the future of our community.  Make decisions, award grants, progress projects …. and everything else that our community aspires to.

  • You will be part of a team supporting each other, community groups, and the wider community.

  • It’s an opportunity to have your say directly but also to hear other voices and come to decisions that ultimately will benefit our community

  • SFCT manage all the money coming into our community from a variety of funders and it’s important we look after this money in the best way possible for the future.

  • You need energy and commitment to make sure SFCT deliver on our promises and projects.

  • Staff members are there to support directors so any questions/ideas can be responded to quickly.

  • Essential parts of the role are the attendance of monthly board meetings and reading Board papers.

  • Any new Directors will be welcomed on to the Board with a full training and an induction programme which will ensure you are looked after in your early months and can therefore ease yourself into the role.

If you fancy putting yourself forward as a director then email Laura at admin@sfctrust.org.uk for your nomination form.  The deadline for nominations is 9th November 2022.
