Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust has joined an increasing number of local organisations and community groups choosing to have a Facebook page.

Communications Director at the Trust is Jillian Barclay.  Jillian said ‘Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust has a comprehensive open website which includes copies of accounts, our constitution and all the Trust’s minutes. We also issue bulletins to members and print the Stratherrick and Foyers NEWS, but this is just not enough nowadays.’

Jillian added ‘We know that Facebook is very popular and accessible in our area.  The Trust’s Facebook page will complement the other Facebook pages run by community organisations and will be used initially to post documents and information about the local response to COVID19.

Jillian stated ‘The largest local community-run public group page has well over 1000 followers, so it would be unwise for the Trust not to join Facebook to get any messages out to our community quickly and effectively.’

Here is a flavour of other organisations which have a presence on Facebook.
