Earthmoving and Landscaping Works

Brief Description of Proposed Works.    Posted 2 August 2019

Expressions of Interest are invited from contractors capable of carrying out the scope of work as following described on behalf of Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust Ltd., in the course of construction of car parks, paths and general landscaping at the former “Wildside” building at Whitebridge.

Drawings giving guidance for dimensions, levels and falls etc. will be provided.

There will be an element of on-site design and decision making so it is felt that the work will be tendered on the basis of an hourly rate for plant and machinery and an estimate of time required.

1.            Clear scrub off working areas.

2.            Open borrow pit/s on site to obtain suitable fill material and backfill as required.

3.            Move earth in cut and fill, some for up to 50m. Approx. 450m3.

4.            Form access road and car parking bays, delineated with earth bunds, shaped to falls and surfaced. Approx. 1000m2.

5.            Take delivery, lay and compact crusher run bottoming as required. Approx50m3.

6.            Level area to west of building and grade surface with topsoil to enable grass to be established.

7.            Scrape existing track round east side of building and surface with Type 1 where required to form a surface suitable for wheelchair use. Approx. 40m x 3m wide.

8.            Construct new path 1.5m wide to 5% gradient down to grassed area at north west of site and surface suitable for wheelchair use. Approx. 40m length and including approx. 60m3 cut.

9.            Overall. Take delivery, transport on site, spread, shape to falls and compact approx. 180t type 1 crushed stone over approx. 1100m2.
